Think of a guy who always has a smile on his face and enjoys having a great conversation with anyone, and you have Dejoie.

Dejoie Sylvain Ifashabayo is a sophomore MasterCard Scholar at Ashesi University College, majoring in Business Administration. He is a visionary leader of integrity and confidence, and possesses an unquenchable passion for the greater good of society. He is highly committed to impactful activities aimed at helping those in need. Dejoie loves reading books about some of the world’s greatest leaders, listening to music, and worshiping God. As an individual, he believes in a life lived with purpose and for the unlimited potential of every human being. This belief influences his decision to wake up every day with hope to make it count.

He joined Anidaso because it gives him an opportunity to change the lives of young people and future generations. As a MasterCard scholar, he understands what it means to transform the lives of others, because without mindful individuals he  could not have reached this far. Thus, he is looking forward to a world where people long to be transformative tools of change. His personal life as a survivor of the Rwandan 1994 genocide against Tutsis opened his eyes to being an instrument of change. He sees the impact Anidaso brings into the lives of both the Ghanaian entrepreneurs and the young scholarship recipients, and the great effect this could have on the lives of those who are connected to Anidaso. Dejoie feels attached to the fellow leaders at Arizona State University through working more closely and sharing ideas they learn from each other. To him, Anidaso is a family and his goal is to make it a life time commitment.

Therefore he profoundly believes that if every business in the world would long to achieve such an impact by contributing to social entreprise, the world would be a much better place.
